New piece for November Music
Antal is currently writing a new piece for the November Music festival in Den Bosch. The première will be on November 14th 2010.


New string quartet on Ravel festival
Recently Antal composed a new string quartet, commissioned by the Académie musicale de Villecroze. The premiere of these 3 Fantazias for String Quartet was given by the Quatuor Voce at the Ravel Festival in Montfort L'Amaury, October 10th 2009.


Birtwistle piano concerto in Orléans
On February 18th (2009) Antal performed the piano concerto Slowfrieze by Harrison Birtwistle in Orléans. The Tongyong International Music Festival Ensemble was conducted by Nicolas Chalvin.


Antal Sporck on Debut tour
Replacing the injured Dutch pianist Richard Flemming, Antal made his solo debut in the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam on October 22nd (2008). Hereafter he gave a series of 9 solo recitals in the major concert halls of the Netherlands. Read review

Second prize for Antal Sporck at the prestigious Orléans International Piano competition 2008.
35 candidates from 17 different countries applied for this competition, which has its focus on repertory written after 1900. At least one premiere is obligatory. Antal won three extra prizes. For the world premiere of his 5 Preludes he received the Chevillion-Bonnaud prize. Also his interpretation of Archipel IV by Andre Boucourechliev was awarded with a prize. After being a finalist he will make his Paris debut in march 2009. First prize winner was the French pianist Florence Cioccolani.


Antal Sporck premieres Benjamin
At the International Music Festival 'Gelderse Muziekzomer 2007' Antal gave the Dutch premiere of George Benjamin's latest piano piece Piano Figures. Earlieron he had worked together with this composer on his Shadowlines.


Reclining Figures for cello and piano
Antals Reclining Figures for cello and piano was premiered on February 6th 2007. Performers were Doris Hochscheid and Frans van Ruth. Several cellists have taken this piece onto their repertoire since.
